This guide is for first-time MPChat users. After reading it, you can complete: install the app → sign up and finish identity verification → buy USDT on Binance → deposit to Pay balance → apply for a virtual card → transfer to the card → start spending.
Funds follow this path only. Do not skip steps:
Buy USDT on an exchange → deposit into MPChat Pay balance → apply for a card and pay the card activation fee → transfer Pay balance to the card → spend with the card
Pay balance and card balance are two separate balances. After funds reach Pay balance, you still cannot swipe the card; you must transfer them onto a specific card first.
1. What to prepare before you start
Have these ready:
A phone with internet access (iPhone or Android).
An email address or phone number you can use to register for MPChat.
A valid government ID in your own name (KYC is required for card issuance, withdrawals, and similar actions).
Alipay, WeChat, or a bank card that can receive payments, so you can buy USDT on Binance C2C.
Plan for the equivalent of at least 50 USDT: this covers the virtual-card activation fee of 10 USDT, on-chain network fees, and a buffer for your first card spend.
Use official channels only:
MPChat website: https://mp.net
Help Center: https://help.mp.net
Binance website: https://www.binance.com
Do not buy USDT privately from strangers, and do not tap deposit links in unofficial emails or DMs.
2. Download and install MPChat
Android
Open https://mp.net in a browser such as Chrome, and download the installer from the official entry point.
If you see an “Unknown sources / security warning” prompt, continue the install and trust the official source. Some brands require you to turn off install monitoring or Pure Mode. See “Android app download and installation FAQ.”
iPhone
In some regions, MPChat does not appear in the App Store. A common approach is to sign in to the App Store with an Apple ID from a region where MPChat is listed (for example, the US store), search for MPChat, and download it. You do not need to change your original China-region iCloud account—only switch the App Store download account. See “Install the MPChat app from the US App Store.”
After installing, open the app and confirm it is the official app before you sign in.
3. Sign up, KYC, and Passkey
Register or sign in to MPChat with an email address or phone number.
Follow the prompts to complete KYC identity verification. Card issuance, withdrawals, and similar actions usually require a successful verification. Your ID must meet the validity window shown in the app (a common requirement is more than three months remaining).
Add a Passkey: it is used for sensitive actions such as opening a card, viewing the full card number and CVV, freeze/unfreeze/delete card, Transfer, and withdrawals. We recommend adding it on iOS 16+ / Android 14+ devices.
Also bind 2FA such as Google Authenticator to protect sign-in. Back up your authenticator key before you change phones.
If KYC or Passkey is incomplete, later steps such as opening a card, viewing the card number, or transfers may be blocked. Finish this step first.
4. Buy USDT on Binance C2C
MPChat does not support depositing CNY, WeChat, or Alipay directly. You need to buy USDT on a legitimate exchange first, then deposit it into MPChat.
We recommend Binance C2C escrow: the platform holds the trade in escrow, you pay a verified seller in CNY, and after the seller releases the crypto, USDT arrives in your Binance account. Do not leave the platform to transfer privately.
Steps
Download Binance from the official website or an app store, then complete registration and basic identity verification.
Open C2C / Buy crypto, choose USDT, and select Alipay, WeChat, or a bank card as the payment method.
Pick a verified seller with a strong reputation and high volume. After you place the order, pay using the order’s receiving details.
In the payment note, do not write words such as “USDT / cryptocurrency / BTC.”
In the app, tap “I have paid” and wait for the seller to release the crypto. After it arrives, you can see USDT in your Binance funding account.
How much to buy: at least enough to cover the 10 USDT card activation fee + on-chain network fees + the amount you plan to transfer onto the card. Buying enough in one go is better than withdrawing crypto repeatedly.
5. Deposit to MPChat Pay balance
There are two deposit methods. In both cases, funds first enter Pay balance (“Pay” on the Assets page), not the card directly.
Method | Best for | Key rules |
On-chain USDT deposit (TRC20) | Larger amounts, when you want to pay less on the platform side | USDT-TRC20 only; credited only when the net amount received is ≥ 10 USDT; MPChat does not charge an on-chain deposit fee—you only pay Binance’s withdrawal network fee |
Binance Pay (third-party payment) | Small amounts, when you do not want to enter an on-chain address | In the app, choose Binance Pay, then confirm in Binance. The Help Center currently shows 1–5000 USDT per transaction, and Binance charges a 1% fee; limits may change—follow the live amounts on the deposit page |
Not supported: direct fiat deposits, USDC, or sending ERC20/BEP20 (and similar) to a TRC20 address. If you choose the wrong network, the assets may not be recoverable.
Method A: On-chain USDT deposit (TRC20)
Open MPChat → bottom Assets → Pay → Deposit / Top up.
Select USDT as the asset. The network must be Tron (TRC20).
Copy the deposit address (or save the QR code). Do not type the address by hand.
Open Binance → Spot account → Withdraw / withdraw via crypto network.
Paste the MPChat address, also choose USDT-TRC20 as the network, and enter the amount.
After Binance’s network fee is deducted, the net amount received must be ≥ 10 USDT. For example, if you send exactly 10 USDT and the chain deducts a network fee, the amount received will be under 10 and will not be credited.
Complete Binance security verification and submit. TRC20 generally needs about 5 network confirmations, about 1 minute each. Arrival is typically about 30 seconds–15 minutes.
Check status in MPChat Deposit history. After credit, Pay balance is shown in USD using the exchange rate. It is normal for that display not to match the USDT amount exactly 1:1; this is a display difference, not a fee deduction.
Method B: Binance Pay
Open MPChat → Assets → Pay → Deposit / Top up.
For payment method, choose third-party payment Binance Pay.
Enter the amount, jump to the Binance app to confirm the order, and complete verification.
After success, return to MPChat and check Pay balance.
For a small amount you need quickly, Binance Pay can work. For larger amounts, TRC20 is more common, because you only pay Binance’s network fee and MPChat does not add an on-chain deposit fee.
6. Choose Cloud Card or Flash Card
Beginners usually open one virtual card first. Boundless Card is a physical card with a higher card activation fee, and it is not the default path in this article.
| Cloud Card | Flash Card |
Form | VISA virtual card | VISA virtual card |
BIN | 45659910 | 40433705 |
Card activation fee | 10 USDT | 10 USDT |
Apple Pay | Not supported | Supported |
Typical uses | Online subscriptions, cross-border spending, Alipay/WeChat, and similar | Choose this first when you need Apple Pay / Apple ID / App Store |
Quantity | Up to 5 per KYC identity | 1 per KYC identity (issuer limit; cannot be lifted in the app) |
Virtual card cap: up to 6 virtual cards per KYC identity = 5 Cloud Cards + 1 Flash Card. Opening extra accounts does not increase the quota. Boundless Card does not count toward these 6.
How to choose:
Mostly ChatGPT, Claude, or cross-border shopping subscriptions → open a Cloud Card first.
Must bind Apple Pay / US App Store → open a Flash Card.
Do not apply for or recommend the discontinued US Direct Card.
7. Apply for a card and pay the card activation fee
Before you apply, confirm: KYC is approved; Pay balance can cover the 10 USDT card activation fee (the fee does not become card balance).
Open Assets → Pay → My Cards (or follow the prompt to tap “Apply for a card / Open a card”).
Choose Cloud Card or Flash Card, and check the fees and rules.
If you have an invite code, you must enter it on the first application. After the card is issued, you usually cannot add it later.
Complete Passkey verification and pay the card activation fee.
Virtual cards are generally ready to use after you apply. If the status stays on “Under review” for a long time, check the card-application review article in the Help Center, or contact official support.
Deleting a card incurs a 3 USDT settlement fee. If you will not use the card for a while, freeze it first (free) instead of deleting it.
8. Transfer from Pay balance to the card
After you deposit and open a card, the money is still in Pay balance. Spending uses card balance.
Open Assets → Pay.
Tap Transfer (some transaction detail pages also have a Transfer button at the bottom).
Choose the destination card, enter the amount, and confirm with Passkey.
Internal transfer is instant and free.
How much to transfer: planned spend + a 0.80% transaction fee + any FX conversion fee on non-USD spend + a small buffer. For subscriptions, leave a few extra dollars on the card to reduce preauthorization failures.
Card balance cannot be withdrawn on-chain directly. To withdraw, transfer funds from the card back to Pay balance first, then use on-chain USDT withdrawal.
9. View the card number and start spending
View full card details
Assets → Pay → My Cards → select the card.
Tap the “Show” eye icon on the card face.
After Passkey verification, you can see the full card number, expiry date, and CVV.
Use the cardholder name and billing address shown on the card page. When paying overseas merchants, use your real name in Latin letters. Matching your billing address to the region of your current network IP usually improves success rates.
Never send the card number, CVV, or expiry date to anyone.
Start spending
Enter the card number on the merchant checkout page, or bind it as needed:
Flash Card → Apple Pay / Apple ID
Both Cloud Card and Flash Card can be used for common online subscriptions and cross-border spending
Alipay / WeChat card binding: follow the matching Help Center articles. WeChat/Alipay may charge their own platform fees on international cards (for example, when a single payment exceeds a certain CNY amount)
When subscribing to overseas services, we recommend:
Keep billing address, egress IP, and merchant-account region as consistent as possible.
Use a stable residential IP. If you use a proxy, enable global mode + TUN, and do not switch frequently.
One card, one account: do not bind the same card to multiple ChatGPT / Claude accounts.
After a failure, do not tap retry repeatedly. Check balance and address first, and if needed wait several hours before trying again.
Do not use the card for restricted categories such as gambling or adult content. Follow “MPCard prohibited spending scenarios.”
10. How to troubleshoot problems
Deposit has not arrived
Confirm whether you used TRC20 or Binance Pay. Do not mix troubleshooting steps.
On-chain: is the network USDT-TRC20; after the network fee, is the amount received ≥ 10 USDT; has the block explorer confirmed it. On-chain deposits under 10 USDT are usually not credited, and sending a top-up to make up the difference will not recover them automatically.
If an on-chain deposit stays on “Crediting” for about 15–30 minutes or more, a compliance review may have been triggered. Prepare the TxID and a screenshot of the send, then contact official in-app support.
Binance Pay: did you complete confirmation in Binance; is the amount within the range allowed on the deposit page.
Check status in Deposit history. Do not send funds to unofficial emails or DM addresses.
Balance looks enough, but you see insufficient balance / payment declined
Have funds been transferred to this specific card, or are they still only in Pay balance.
Does the card cover: spend amount + 0.80% + any FX conversion fee + merchant preauthorization.
Does the billing address match the IP region.
Is the card frozen; did you copy the card number, expiry, or CVV incorrectly.
After a decline, funds are usually not taken. After you transfer more, go back to the merchant page and start the payment again.
Card binding or subscription failed
Check first: IP and address, card balance, and whether you failed several times in a short window. Apple Pay is supported on Flash Card only. For detailed scenarios, see the subscription tutorials and “How to fill in a billing address for subscriptions.”
11. Fees and safety reminders
Fee quick reference (follow the Help Center and the app)
Item | Policy |
Cloud Card / Flash Card activation fee | 10 USDT (one-time; not added to card balance) |
Monthly / annual fee | 0 |
Pay balance ↔ card transfer | Free, instant |
On-chain deposit | MPChat does not charge; you pay the sender’s network fee; net amount received ≥ 10 USDT |
Binance Pay | Binance charges 1% per transaction (see the confirmation page); commonly 1–5000 USDT per transaction |
Card transaction fee | 0.80% |
Small-transaction fee | $0.15 per transaction when the amount is ≤ $1 |
Non-USD spend | Converted at the issuer rate; an FX conversion fee may also apply |
Delete card | 3 USDT; freeze the card if you will not use it for a while |
On-chain withdrawal | 2.1 USDT per transaction; an extra 0.1% on the portion of same-day cumulative withdrawals above 5,000 USDT; minimum 10 USDT |
Safety red lines
Get downloads and addresses only from mp.net / official support.
Buy crypto only via C2C inside the Binance app. Do not transfer privately.
Before depositing, check the TRC20 network + address character by character.
Viewing the card number requires Passkey. Do not send the CVV to anyone.
The official email is [email protected]. Do not tap suspicious “credit review” phishing emails.
