Can MPCard receive bank transfers or withdraw to a bank?

MPCard cannot receive bank transfers or withdraw card funds to a bank account. Learn the correct USDT withdrawal route and the Boundless Card ATM exception.

⚡ Quick summary (TL;DR)

  • A card number is not a bank account: MPCard does not provide an account and routing number, IBAN, or SWIFT details. It cannot receive bank transfers, wires, or salary payments.

  • No withdrawal to a bank: Card funds cannot be sent to a bank account or another bank card. MPChat does not currently support fiat deposits or fiat withdrawals.

  • The supported withdrawal route: Move the card balance back to MPChat Pay, then withdraw USDT over a supported blockchain network to an external wallet or exchange.

  • ATM cash is a separate case: The Boundless Card (VISA · physical card · BIN 45659910) can withdraw cash at ATMs subject to applicable limits. Cloud Card and Flash Card are virtual and do not support ATMs.

📖 Overview

MPCard is a prepaid card for merchant purchases, not a bank account. Its card number, expiry date, and CVV are used for merchant card authorizations and do not replace bank account details.

This article explains which bank-transfer and fiat-withdrawal scenarios are unsupported, the correct way to move card funds out, and the physical-card ATM exception.

🏦 Why a card number cannot receive a bank transfer

Receiving a bank transfer normally requires account details issued by a bank. MPCard only provides card details used to complete card purchases. They serve different purposes.

⚠️ Do not use the card number as an account number

Do not give an MPCard number to a sender for a bank transfer, salary payment, or remittance. A merchant refund returned to the original card is a card refund, not a bank transfer.

💳 How to move funds out of the card

MPChat does not currently support converting card funds to fiat and withdrawing them to a bank account. To move card funds out, use this USDT route:

  1. Move unused card funds back to MPChat Pay. See moving card funds back to the wallet.

  2. Confirm the available Pay balance. See fees for moving card funds back.

  3. From Pay, choose the correct blockchain network and address, then withdraw USDT to an external wallet or exchange. Follow the crypto withdrawal guide.

✅ Funds remain in USDT

Moving funds back to Pay and withdrawing from Pay are USDT operations. They do not create a fiat balance that can be withdrawn to a bank.

🏧 ATM cash is the only exception, and only for the physical card

An ATM withdrawal is a card-network cash transaction, not a transfer into a bank account. Only the physical Boundless Card supports this function.

🔁 Do not confuse card payments with bank transfers

The same platform may offer both card payments and bank-account transfers. They are not the same. Check whether the page asks for a card number, expiry date, and CVV, or for an account number, routing number, IBAN, or SWIFT details.

  • Card top-up or payment: Platforms such as Wise, Revolut, or Skrill may accept VISA prepaid cards in some regions. This is a card transaction initiated by the platform; it does not mean MPCard can receive a bank transfer or provide a bank account.

  • Bank transfer, remittance, or withdrawal: Even if services such as bKash, Revolut, Skrill, Stripe, URPAY, or Wise offer these functions, MPCard does not provide a receiving bank account and cannot act as a bank withdrawal destination.

  • Local bank-account functions: MPCard does not provide a bank account number, so it cannot replace a local bank account for services such as Zelle or complete micro-deposit bank-account verification.

  • Card-to-card P2P: Funds cannot be sent directly from an MPCard number to another card. Use Pay's internal transfer feature to send USDT to an MPChat friend.

  • Manual cash disbursements: Restricted cash transactions such as MCC 6010 are governed by the restricted-merchant policy.

Ordinary merchant purchases, card top-ups, and wallet linking can depend on region, platform policy, MCC, and real-time risk checks. Follow the restricted-merchant policy and the options shown by the service.

⚠️ What if someone has already sent money to my card?

  1. Contact the sender or their bank first. Explain that the recipient details are not a bank account, and ask them to recall the transfer or trace its return.

  2. A bank transfer normally cannot post to MPCard. Whether it is returned, how long it takes, and whether fees apply are determined by the sending bank and its transfer network.

  3. MPChat cannot control or recover a transfer inside the banking system. If a related card transaction appears in the App, prepare the amount, time, and a transaction screenshot, then contact in-app online support.

❓ FAQ

Can a friend send money directly to my MPCard number?

No. A card number cannot receive funds. To send USDT between MPChat friends, use Pay's internal transfer feature.

Can I withdraw card funds to my own bank card or bank account?

No. Move the MPCard balance back to MPChat Pay, then withdraw USDT over a supported blockchain network to an external wallet or exchange.

Does MPChat support fiat deposits or fiat withdrawals?

Not currently. MPChat Pay deposits and withdrawals use USDT. See the fiat funding explanation.

Is a Boundless Card ATM withdrawal the same as withdrawing to a bank?

No. A Boundless Card ATM withdrawal is a physical-card cash transaction and does not credit a bank account. ATM, regional, limit, and fee rules still apply.

Can I top up Wise, Revolut, or a similar service with MPCard?

Some regions and platforms may accept an MPCard VISA prepaid-card transaction; the service page and real-time checks decide. A successful card top-up does not mean MPCard can receive bank transfers or withdraw funds to a bank account.

Why does MPCard not support these banking functions?

Because MPCard is a prepaid spending card funded by the available USDT balance in MPChat Pay, not a bank account. It is for eligible merchant purchases and does not provide bank deposits, remittances, or fiat off-ramp services.
