Prepare a mobile phone and available Alipay/WeChat/bank cards.
We recommend you reserve slightly more than the amount required to open the card (card opening fee + first card recharge).
The entire process is operated on the Gate official App/official website, and beware of phishing websites.
Step 1: Download and install Gate App
Go to the Gate official channel to download the App and install it.
Open the app and prepare to register.

Step 2: Register a Gate account
Register using your email or mobile phone number.
Set the login password and complete the security verification.
Follow the prompts to complete basic real-name authentication (KYC).
Step 3: Purchase USDT through C2C
Purchasing USDT on Gate needs to be done through C2C transactions, that is, you buy from an individual seller and the platform guarantees it. Process: You use RMB to transfer money to the seller through Alipay/WeChat/bank card; the seller releases the currency after receiving the payment, and USDT is automatically transferred to your fund account in Gate.
Specific operations:
Click "C2C Buy Coins" on the homepage of the App, or click "Recharge" and select C2C transactions to enter the purchase interface. (If the entrance is not found, you can find "C2C Coin Buying" in "More" → Asset Category, and set it as a quick entrance.)
Get to know the transaction interface: select the currency USDT, payment method and seller.
Enter the amount or click Place Order to generate a purchase order.
To pay according to the order payment information, click "Upload Voucher/I Have Paid".
Wait for the seller to release the coins, usually a few minutes. After releasing the coins, you will receive a prompt and can check the balance in your capital account.

⚠️ Be sure to complete the transaction within the Gate App and do not transfer funds privately outside the platform.
