How do I change my MPChat login password? (Passkey replaces payment password in v1.5.0)

Change your MPChat login password from My > Security Center. The legacy 6-digit payment password is retired in v1.5.0 — use the Passkey reset flow instead.

Updated today

This article was originally about the 6-digit payment password. After MPChat v1.5.0, the payment password has been retired and replaced by a Passkey. This page now covers only how to change your login password.

Change your MPChat login password

Open My > Security Center > Login Password > Change Password. You will be asked to verify with one existing security factor (SMS, email, or Google Authenticator) before entering the new password twice. Login passwords must be 8-20 characters mixing letters and numbers.

What about the payment password?

The 6-digit payment password is permanently retired starting with v1.5.0. Sensitive operations (withdrawals, transfers, red packets, card actions) now verify with your Passkey. If you need to change the credential used for fund flows, see How to reset your Passkey.
