Password Reset Rules
To ensure account security, your login/Passkey must meet the following format requirements:
Length Requirement: Must be 6-12 characters long.
Character Composition: Must be a combination of Numbers + Letters.
Note: Pure numbers, pure letters, or special symbols are not supported. If the setup fails, please check if the password exceeds 12 characters or is fewer than 6 characters.
To change or reset your MPChat account’s login password, log in to your account first, then go to Security Center.
If you’ve forgotten your login password, you can log in using a passkey, your phone number, or your email address. Resetting your password while logged out is no longer supported.
1. Go to Me
Open the MPChat app, log in, and go to Me.
2. Open Security Center
Tap Security Center, then select Login Password.
3. Choose to Change or Reset Your Login Password
Select the option that applies to you:
Change Login Password: You remember your current password and want to change it.
Reset Login Password: You’ve forgotten your current password and need to set a new one.
4. Read the Security Notice
To protect your account and funds, withdrawals, transfers, and sending red packets will be disabled for 24 hours after you change or reset your login password.
Make sure this restriction won’t affect any planned transactions. Read the security notice, then tap Continue.
5. Complete Security Verification Using a Passkey
On the Security Verification page, tap Verify Now and follow the system prompts to verify your identity using a passkey.
If you haven’t added a passkey yet, follow the on-screen instructions to add one before continuing.
6. Set Your New Login Password
Once verified, you’ll be taken to the corresponding password settings page:
Change Login Password: Enter your current password and your new password, then enter the new password again to confirm.
Reset Login Password: Enter your new password, then enter it again to confirm.
Make sure your new password meets the requirements shown on the page. Check that all details are correct, then submit to complete the change or reset.
If the Account is Already Logged In:
1.Open the MPChat app, click My > Security Center > Login Password.
2.Click Reset Password > Choose either Email/Phone Number for verification > After completing the verification, enter the new login password. After entering the new password, you need to confirm the password again. Submit the modification once confirmed.
