Change your MPChat login password
Open My > Security Center > Login Password and choose Change Password (Set Password if you have not set one yet). From 2.2.5, changing or resetting the login password requires only Passkey verification; phone, email or Google verification is no longer asked.
Steps
Tap Change Password. A security reminder appears first; tap continue.
If you already have a Passkey, you go straight to Passkey verification. If not, a prompt appears; tap “Add now” to add one first.
After Passkey verification passes, the password screen opens and you enter the new password twice.
The login password must be 6-20 characters, with at least one number and at least one uppercase letter.
What if you forget your login password
Resetting the password while logged out is not supported yet, and the login screen has no “Forgot password” entry. If you forget your password, log in first with your Passkey, phone or email, then go to My > Security Center > Login Password and choose Reset Password. Verify your Passkey and set a new password. If your Passkey is unavailable, contact [email protected].
Limits after changing your password
Changing the password is a security setting change and triggers a 24-hour limit on withdrawals, transfers and red packets. Chatting, receiving red packets, viewing card details and card spending are not affected.
