when using an MPChat card for US App Store, Claude, Telegram, and similar services, your network egress region should match account region and billing address. This article explains two common proxy modes to reduce "payment failed / region unavailable" errors.
Why does network environment affect payments?
Merchants and Apple / Google check:
Your IP region
Apple ID / account registration region
Card billing address (see How to Fill Billing Address for Subscriptions)
If IP is in China, account is US, billing is US, but payment currency or risk rules don't align, you may see:
App Store "Unable to complete purchase"
Card declined
Subscription platform bans or repeated verification failures
For US services, match egress to the US; for Hong Kong services, match Hong Kong.

Two common proxy modes
Global mode (Global / system proxy)
How it works: most app traffic on the device routes through the proxy server.
Pros: simple setup; good for browsers and some apps with one egress.
Cons: some apps (especially banking/payment) detect proxies; domestic apps may slow down.
Best for: browser registration, downloads, and web subscriptions.
TUN mode (virtual NIC / enhanced mode)
How it works: creates a virtual NIC at OS level to more thoroughly route traffic so more apps use the proxy transparently.
Pros: more stable for Telegram and some games/subscription clients; fewer "app bypasses proxy" region mismatches.
Cons: slightly more setup; still need reliable nodes and regions.
Best for: App Store IAP, Telegram Premium, subscriptions needing consistent network alignment.
Check your egress IP (strongly recommended before subscribe/bind)
Turning on a proxy doesn't mean the region is correct. Before paying or subscribing, open any third-party IP check site below (cross-check two for confidence) and verify browser/device egress:

Rule of thumb:
Green: region correct + decent cleanliness + same egress consistently.
Yellow: region OK but heavy sharing / higher risk → try once; if it fails, switch to a cleaner node in the same region.
Red: wrong region or clearly high risk → don't pay yet; fix network first.

Operating principles:
Pick region first, then proxy: decide US vs Hong Kong, then choose matching nodes.
One card, one account: one MPCard per Apple ID / primary subscription when possible.
Don't rapid-retry: repeated declines hit merchant and issuer risk controls — fix billing and IP first.
Still failing: see card decline guides and Apple official support — don't swap cards repeatedly.
Payment/subscription failed — try in this order (no rapid retries)
Repeated declines hurt merchant risk scores and issuer chargeback rates. Troubleshoot in order; wait at least several minutes between steps:
Check IP test results first: region still matches target? Did the node suddenly become high-risk?
Switch to a cleaner egress in the same region: don't jump countries — change nodes within the target region.
Check proxy mode: if system proxy still misroutes, try fuller traffic capture (TUN / enhanced mode above) so apps don't bypass proxy.
Browser environment: retry in incognito or a separate profile; check WebRTC leaks.
Verify billing and card fields: address, ZIP, number, expiry, CVV match card page.
Confirm balance: card balance > amount + tax + fees, with buffer.

Don't: spam-retry the same card/path within 10 minutes, or swap cards repeatedly while region is misaligned.

Try TUN mode or a cleaner US node; confirm Apple ID payment region matches IP.
Do I still need a proxy with an MPChat card?
The card solves payment method; account region and IP are still your job. Both are required.

How do I know if my IP is "clean enough"?
Use ping0, scamalytics, whoer for region, type, sharing, and risk flags. Rough guide: ping0 risk <50 safer, >70 switch; scamalytics fraud <30 fairly clean. Wrong region / high risk / heavy sharing usually means switch. AI, Stripe, and Apple subscriptions are more IP-sensitive. See "Check your egress IP" above.
Can a cheaper country node save money?
Some subscriptions price by settlement region — lower-price regions can save money only if account region + billing address + IP align. Don't use a Hong Kong IP to force a US service.
