Why a US Apple ID?
App Store availability varies by region. Mainland China Apple IDs may not find MPChat. Common approach:
Register or use a US Apple ID, sign into the App Store, search MPChat, and install.

Switch Apple ID in the App Store
Open App Store, tap profile icon top-right.
Scroll to bottom, tap Sign Out.
Sign in with a new overseas Apple ID (US recommended) and password.
If first login shows account review:
Agree to terms, tap Next top-right;
Payment method: None;
Enter a US billing address (state abbreviations: US State Abbreviations Reference).
After activation, search MPChat in the App Store and download.

Can't find MPChat?
Confirm you're signed into a US (or other officially supported) Apple ID, not China; network should roughly match account region.
Prompted for payment method when downloading?
Free apps usually allow None. If a card is required, follow the no-payment-method flow in How to Register a US Apple ID.
Already have a China Apple ID — change region?
No need to change your main account. Register a separate US ID for App Store downloads only — iCloud and other services unaffected.
