This article helps you understand the three main statuses of MPChat card transactions and how funds move at each stage.

📖 Overview

You can check the real-time status of any card transaction in Wallet → Card → Transaction Record → Transaction Detail. Each transaction is in one of three statuses.

🚫 Declined

Meaning: The transaction did not go through; the merchant did not receive funds.

Fund flow: No funds were actually moved. No refund is needed.

Common causes:

  • The available balance in this account is insufficient

  • Risk control or merchant restriction

⏳ Authorized

Meaning: The payment has been sent to the merchant and is being processed.

Fund flow: Funds are temporarily held, pending settlement or refund.

What happens next: It usually updates to "Settled" or "Refunded". Some merchants may take up to 30 days to complete settlement.

✅ Settled

Meaning: The transaction has been successfully settled.

Fund flow: Funds have been transferred to the merchant.

Refunds: If you need a refund, contact the merchant directly. A "Consumption Refund" entry will appear once the refund arrives.
