To change the mobile phone number linked to your MPChat account, please go to My > Security Center > Mobile Number to complete the change.
Please note that after successful modification, your withdrawal, transfer, and red envelope sending functions will be temporarily disabled for 24 hours to ensure the security of your account and funds.
Steps to change your phone number
Please ensure that you can access the currently linked mobile number to receive the verification code, or that you have set up other available security verification methods:
Open the MPChat App and tap "My" in the bottom navigation bar to enter your personal center.
Click on the Security Center on the page to enter the account security settings page.
Find the phone number option in the security center list and click to enter.
Select "Change Phone Number" and enter your new phone number as prompted.
💡 Tip: If you can no longer access your original phone number, the system may require you to complete identity verification through other linked security verification methods (such as email or Google Authenticator).
Security restrictions after rebinding
To ensure the security of your account and funds, some fund-related functions will be temporarily restricted after you modify key security information:
Duration restriction: After successfully changing your mobile number, the withdrawal, transfer, and red envelope sending functions will be disabled for 24 hours .
The same restricted operations: In addition to changing your phone number, modifying/resetting your Google verification, email, login password, or payment password will also trigger the same 24-hour function restriction.
Unaffected functions: During this period, you can still chat, receive red envelopes, view card information, and make payments as usual.
⚠️ Note: After the 24-hour cooling-off period, all functions will automatically return to normal without any additional action. We recommend that you confirm you do not have any urgent large transfers or withdrawals in the near future before changing your account details.
