I am in a group chat and do not want strangers to randomly add me as a friend or send me private messages. What can I do?

If you are the group administrator, you can enable "Disable private chat among group members" in the group chat details.

You can go to "Privacy" settings, and under "Ways to add me", turn off the method of being added via group chat.
