Updated over 2 months ago

I. MPChat Identity Verification Process

  • Fill in Personal Information

  • Upload ID Document Photos

  • Complete Facial Recognition Verification

  • Submit a Personal Declaration (if required by the system)

For detailed steps, please refer to: How to Complete Account Identity Verification

Please note, verification is currently unsupported in the following scenarios. Please check in advance.

  • Service is temporarily unavailable in certain countries. Please refer to: MPChat List of Unsupported Countries/Regions for details.

  • Each user's identity information can only verify one account. Even if you hold multiple different documents or if the previously verified account has been deleted, you cannot submit the verification again.

II. MPChat Identity Verification Important Notes

Users are advised to read the following notes before submitting identity verification to avoid interruptions and verification failure.

Filling in Personal Information

  • Fill in the Surname and Given Name exactly as they appear on your document. Please pay attention to the order of the Surname and Given Name; incorrect entry will lead to verification failure.

    • Nom is the Given Name, Prenom is the Surname.

    • If you have a middle name, it should be entered together with the given name in the same field.

  • Enter the Date of Birth exactly as it appears on your document. Please be careful to distinguish between the month and the day; incorrect entry will lead to verification failure.

    • Example of correct birthday: November 1, 2006 (2006年11月1日)

Uploading ID Document Photos

  • Users must upload a document type supported by MPChat. If a certain document type is not displayed in the app, it means that document is not supported for identity verification in that country.

    • Example: Hong Kong supports verification using a Passport and Identity Card.

Completing Facial Recognition Verification

  • Facial recognition must be completed by the account owner; using a photograph is not supported.

  • When performing facial recognition, please use the device's front-facing camera.

  • Please ensure good internet connection and lighting conditions, and that your face is clearly visible during the facial recognition process.

  • Please ensure your device is held vertically during facial recognition; holding the device upside down or horizontally will result in verification failure.

  • Please ensure no unrelated people or objects appear in the frame during facial recognition.

  • When performing facial recognition, please look directly at the camera and avoid shaking the device, which can lead to review failure.

Submitting a Personal Declaration (if required by the system)

  • The declaration must be submitted within 14 days of the system determining it is required. Failure to submit within 14 days will lead to review failure.
