If I lose my phone, can the official support help me recover my chat data?

You have complete control over your data. Once a device is lost and there is no local backup, no one (including us) can recover these encrypted files. On the plus side, this also means that even if someone finds your phone, they will not be able to easily crack or access your data without your lock screen passcode or destruction password.
