End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) is the core underlying technology MPChat uses to protect your privacy. It ensures that your communications take place within a "digital safe" to which only you and the recipient hold the keys.
The specific protection mechanisms are as follows:
1. "Fully Closed" Transmission of Information
Encryption Point: The moment you hit send, your messages, images, or files are immediately locked (encrypted) on your phone.
Transmission: Only the encrypted "ciphertext" travels across the internet. Even if MPChat servers, telecom operators, or hackers intercept the data during transmission, they will only see a string of unreadable code that is impossible to crack.
Decryption Point: The "lock" is only opened once it reaches your friend's phone, using the unique "private key" stored on their device to restore the data into readable information.
2. Your Keys, Your Data Ordinary messaging apps often store encryption keys on their servers (meaning platform employees could potentially view your messages). At MPChat, the unique keys (private keys) required to decrypt messages are stored only locally on your and your friend's phones. As the platform provider, we do not hold the keys and have zero technical capability to view, listen to, or provide your private conversations to any third party.
3. Universal Coverage This encryption protection is not limited to text chats; it covers all forms of communication on MPChat, including: voice/video calls, image and video transfers, file sharing, and group chats.
In short: At MPChat, your secrets belong only to you—even we cannot take a peek.
