How can I reduce the occurrence of rejected transactions?

Learn how to minimize rejected transactions on MPChat by ensuring card status, sufficient funds, and merchant compatibility. Avoid unnecessary fees!

Updated over 2 months ago

MPChat encourages users to maintain good card usage habits and minimize the occurrence of rejected transactions to avoid unnecessary fees. We recommend performing the following checks before making a transaction.

1. Ensure the Card Status is Normal: Before making a transaction, please check the card status to ensure it has not been frozen or reported lost (applicable to physical cards). Check the freeze status for virtual and physical cards: MPChat app > Card > Freeze

Please note:

  • If a user subscribed to a merchant's service using the MPChat card, freezing or reporting the card lost does not prevent the merchant from attempting to deduct funds. If the merchant attempts to deduct funds while the card is frozen or lost, the transaction will be rejected.

  • Users are advised to regularly check whether they have used the MPChat card for merchant subscriptions. If a service is no longer needed, please log in to the merchant account and unlink the card promptly to avoid automatic deductions upon expiration.

2. Ensure the Account has Sufficient Available Funds:

  • Regularly check your account balance to ensure there are sufficient funds before the transaction.

  • Reserve Transaction Fees: Users must reserve an amount for the transaction fee when paying; the entire asset balance in the account cannot be used for the transaction. For example, if the MPChat account balance is 100 USD and the user attempts to pay for a 100 USD order, the transaction will fail due to insufficient available balance.

  • For the MPChat transaction fee standard, please refer to: MPChat Card Limits and Fees

3. Transact with Merchants that Support MPChat Cards, subject to the merchant's specific rules.
